The team was formed in 2003 as one of the first girls teams at Hemel Hempstead Town Youth. They have had a turnover of players over the last five years but have retained a couple of the original team members.
They started playing in the Hertfordshire Girls League but in 2006 left the league and are in the Hertfordshire Girls Football Partnership League.
Although starting off as an 11 a side team they are currently playing as a 9 a side team in the league they are in.
The girls are very team orientated and really step up to the challenge at matches. They are unfortunate that they are limited in numbers so do not have the luxury of substitues at games but this does not affect their performance.
In junior football, should all players be given the same amount of time on the pitch during a game, regardless of ability?
Yes, always. Getting kids involved is the most important thing.
Yes, unless it is an important game.
No. Winning is important at all ages, so the best players should play more often.
